Top 30 Universities in the Pioneers Track: Updated 2026–2027 List

The Pioneers track is a list of 30 universities named in the Ministry of Education's guide to university lists by field for the 2026–2027 academic year (Scholarship Agency). The track is aimed at scholarships to leading global universities, while the eligible degrees, majors and eligibility conditions are set by the Ministry of Education, so check the official guide and the scholarship platform before applying.

Getting an academic admission from one of these universities is extremely difficult, but not impossible. Acceptance rates are low, so expect to be rejected at times, but admission may still come your way. We hope you will be one of the Saudi or Arab students who earn admission to Pioneers track universities.

In the 2026–2027 update, the list includes 18 universities in the United States, 4 in the United Kingdom, 3 in the People's Republic of China, and one each in Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore and France.

Harvard University

How to Apply to Pioneers Track Universities

All you need is solid research on the application requirements, then preparing your file and submitting it by the deadline.

1. Look up the application requirements on the universities' official websites (links are attached to each university's name in this article) or through the Common App website. Create an account there only if you want to study for a bachelor's degree in the United States. You can find the explanation in our guide to using Common App to apply to US universities.
2. Prepare your academic certificates and the required English proficiency certificate.
3. Prepare the results of any required tests, such as the SAT or GRE.
4. Prepare recommendation letters and a statement of purpose written in a distinctive and impressive way for the admissions committees.
5. Submit your application before the announced deadline.
