UK ETA for Saudis: Fees and Steps

Short answer: Saudis do not need a traditional visa to visit the UK; they need an electronic travel authorisation (ETA).

What is an ETA?

Saudi Arabia has been on the ETA list since 22 February 2024. According to gov.uk, an ETA lets you travel to the UK for up to 6 months per visit.

Official fee

The current ETA fee is 20 pounds according to gov.uk. Beware of intermediary sites that add charges, and apply through the official website or app. Fees change, so check before you apply.

Application steps

• Valid passport and a clear face photo
• Travel details and security questions
• Pay the fee and wait for the decision

When is an ETA not enough?

For study, work or stays over 6 months you need the right visa. For residents of other nationalities, see our UK visa for residents article.
